Ciao - my name is Betty and I am the creator of Mi Piccolino, a small company based in the Lake District, UK.

Some of my happiest childhood memories begin in a little town in northwest Italy called Saluzzo, where my Nonna was born. Every summer, our family would return there, and from the moment we arrived, life seemed to slow down. The streets were quieter, conversations lasted longer, neighbours knew each other's names, and every meal brought the whole family together. It wasn't extravagant or perfect—it was simply a place where family came before everything else.

What I remember most wasn't the beautiful mountains or the cobbled streets. It was the feeling of closeness. Babies were always in someone's arms, asleep against a parent's chest, or being lovingly passed from one family member to another. There was a quiet comfort in those everyday moments that has stayed with me ever since. Nobody seemed to be rushing. Nobody was trying to keep up. They were simply enjoying being together.

Years later, when the idea of creating a baby brand first began, I found myself thinking back to those summers in Saluzzo. Not because I wanted to recreate a place, but because I wanted to recreate that feeling. A feeling of connection. Of comfort. Of slowing down enough to appreciate the moments that pass far too quickly.

That's how Mi Piccolino came to life.

Meaning "My Little One" in Italian, the name is a tribute to my family's roots and to the simple belief that inspired everything we do: our little ones are only little for a moment. The cuddles become memories. The sleepy walks become stories. The tiny hands wrapped around your finger won't stay tiny forever.

When we designed our carrier, we wanted it to be more than something parents wear. We wanted it to become part of those everyday moments that one day mean everything. The morning walk for coffee.
